Future Dental Hygienists Visit Centrix from South Korea

For the 2nd year in a row, the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport welcomed and hosted 12 South Korean dental hygiene students and 2 faculty members from Sun Moon University in Asan, South Korea. The students have been attending classes and going on field trips to many businesses, dental offices, and schools this past week.

We were lucky enough to spend some quality time with these students and give them a tour of the Centrix R &D and manufacturing facility here in Shelton, CT. Here, the students are pictured with Centrix founder, a dentist himself, Dr. William B. Dragan and Bill Dragan, the President of Centrix.  The tour gave these future dental hygienists a chance to see Centrix in action, from manufacturing and shipping to sales and marketing. The students were excited to see our design and manufacturing capabilities, finished products and packaging, and to speak with Dr. Dragan about their future careers.

The Department of Dental Hygiene at Sun Moon University presents a unique learning opportunity for these students. According to the school website, Sun Moon is “the only university to grant the qualification to take the certificate test for dental hygienists and a joint degree through the 3 + 1 international exchange program with the University of Bridgeport in the United States.”

We wish these new students the best of luck in their future dental careers!
