We were thrilled to welcome a group of future dental hygienists to Centrix this week from the acclaimed Fones School of Dental Hygiene at nearby University of Bridgeport. We’re so proud of their hard work and dedication that will ultimately result in helping patients maintain good oral health and healthy smiles.
The Fones students were given a tour of the Centrix manufacturing facility and operations, and an opportunity to speak with others in the field of dentistry about their career goals and aspirations. Additionally, a top-notch student received a scholarship for academic excellence that will be applied toward their education.
One former hygiene student who took the tour now works for Centrix in product sales. At the time, she remembers saying to herself, “Someday, I’m going to work here.” It’s that kind of determination and goal setting that we so admire about these students. We’re pleased to support the Fones School and future dental hygienists, and wish them much luck in their future endeavors.
Established in 1949, the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at UB was the first school of dental hygiene in the world and graduated the first dental hygienist. Centrix is a proud supporter of this accredited program and will continue to provide educational and financial assistance to their students.
